So, was in town for a few days and was excited to try Tim Horton's. I stopped by twice and first time was 5 stars, second time was 2. First time was late afternoon and only one young lady on duty but she was quick, friendly, efficient, joked about my Texas accent and I joked back about hers and she wished me well on my trip. Donut's were super tasty and restaurant very clean. Second was on my way out of town to airport and much poorer experience. Their were 3 people in line before me and 6 people behind counter and it took over 10 minutes to place and get my order of two donuts. No one was in any kind of hurry, and I don't mean "rush-rush-rush" but simply diligently doing your job and moving folks along. A couple behind me walked out as they were in an actual hurry. Young lady who took my order was ambivalent and one who checked me out was just as. Bright spot and only reason it was 2 on sunday instead of 1 was the gal who worked the day before was working drive thru and saw me and said "Hi" and glad to see me come back. Donuts good, at least one really good employee and hopefully they continue to improve.

I saw Tim Horton cafe and bakery, and figured I would stop by since I wanted a light dinner. The place had no reviews on Yelp and the marquee was quite inviting. As you open the door your nostrils are aroused with the fragrance of hazelnut and coffee. Unlike most people I know, I don't drink coffee. I came in for the sandwiches with consisted of croissants and panini / sandwiches. I got the Angus steak melt panini which was meat cheese, red onions and a little horseradish. Great combination. I was tempted to get a donut (apple fritter) and an Ice Capp with hazelnut(thanks to the aroma) Great marketing strategy!!!. All for 8.06 tax included with no tip jar. It was great all around, but a bad idea for me as I am a non coffee drinker as I stayed up until 1 am. The place itself was fairly new and incredibly clean. It was a brown interior but so soothing. Apparently this is a Canadian chain and has some reference to Rochester , NY with over a billion cups served. The baristas were very helpful and pleasant as well.

Their donuts are okay. Is there a difference between TH in Canada vs US? Because I feel like all of the Canadian TH's I have been to were better..

Don't come in here expecting something like Starbucks. Yes they serve coffee here, but it's from a fully automated machine. If you know what to expect you won't be so disappointed. Some of my friends really enjoy the brewed coffee here, but I don't. Sometimes I just want a sweet treat and a Tim's donut and ice capp be great.

The university staff raved about this place so we were really excited to experience TH for the first time. Service was very good - friendly and efficient. Donuts were just ok, not anything memorable. Hoped for more variety but it was almost 1pm so maybe all the good ones were gone (?) Chocolate frosted cake donut was a little dry, not very rich. Honey dipped glazed raised was good but again, nothing special. Frosted sprinkled cake donut was just ok according to my 14 yr old. Iced coffee was fine, again nothing very memorable.
